“In everything you do put God first, He will direct you and crown your efforts with success.” Proverbs 3:6 Scripture Memorization
We, women of faith are fully aware that our value comes from God. Everything that is good within us is a direct result of His mercy and favor. As women of faith, we are passionate, intentional about living God’s way, and actively pursuing God.
Happy are all who search for God and always do his will.
Psalm 119:2 promises blessing for those who keep His testimonies, and who seek Him with their whole heart! So our commitment to seek Him grows strong, because we love Him. We are also reminded of the tremendous sacrifice Jesus made for us. We are so thankful, and our passion becomes to live God’s way and this commitment is seen in the way we conduct ourselves: in our family relationships, our work relationships, and our community relationships.
The task of mirroring and reflecting the holiness of God is difficult. This world is full of challenges. In the midst of crazy chaotic moments, we often compromise our conviction to bare the image of God. We discover this path of ‘putting God first’ is lonely at times, scary, uncomfortable, unfamiliar and require sacrifice.
God as our Creator has specific directions for our lives. If we live according to His directions, our lives work – we are blessed, and we experience life the way it was meant to be lived. If we ignore or reject His directions, we do so to our own detriment and experience much less than He intended. As we meet with God our weariness disappears and we receive rejuvenation and wisdom. The problems that are overwhelming don’t disappear but become decreased and God’s incredible peace replaces them. God is good to those who depend on Him and to those who search for Him. Start your day with God. Read God’s Word. Pray without ceasing. Worship Him in Song. Worship Him with arms raised. Listen for God’s whisper. Start every encounter with God. Start every daily responsibility with God and end with God. Take God with you at all times. Make your relationship with God a priority. Matthew 22:37 “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:9 “Honor the Lord with your wealth”

Write your stories where God’s divine presence was evident.
Here are two of my personal stories…
It was my first large speaking engagement. The large church had hired me to present at their women’s Christmas event. Two sold out events was my unfamiliar. That first evening before any guests had arrived I peered into the auditorium where beautifully decorated dining tables with holiday decor were ready to welcome 400 women. A sudden overwhelming fear rushed over me. Was I prepared for this? God, what did you get me into? I was definitely questioning God’s assignment that evening. As my assistant prayed for God’s anointing to come upon me, I felt God quietly affirming His presence. His presence felt like a Big Hug.
I rehearsed every step of the presentation one more time. Then an hour later, I walked on stage. Still scared but confident that God would show up knowing I had worked hard to prepare and that He is always faithful to those who are obedient to His call. As I closed my eye that night to fall asleep, I knew God was a success that evening.
God’s presence in our life bring guidance, strength and protection.
It again was the Christmas season. I showed up Sunday evening at Liabenow’s Christmas Trees, a small retail treelot in our small town, to relieve my husband and youngest son of their duties. They headed back to our home in southern Michigan that evening; a routine we were familiar with. Alone for the evening, I was busy serving my customers. Late evening arrived and there was one job not finished; rearranging the wording on the street sign. I grabbed the ladder and proceeded to the location of the sign. I noticed the ground was extremely soft. I hesitated. I thought, “oh it will be okay I have done this a million times”. Standing at the top of the 6 ft ladder, the ladder’s front legs sunk into the ground sending me backwards. I ignored the warning of the unsteady ladder so now I laid there barely breathing and in severe pain. Somehow I found strength to crawl and pull myself into the truck. 24 hours later with several broken ribs and thinking more clearly… I now had recognized that God provided me with warning, God provided the strength, and God provided the emergency medical care. As I looked upon the accident site where had fallen. I stood amazed at the divine protection afforded me that night. Just inches away from my fall stood a 3ft spike and cement blocks. I realized my injury could have been far worse.
Put God first. Allow His presence in your life and listen to the whisper of His Spirit.
Psalm 63: O God, You are my God. I will look for You with all my heart and strength. My soul is thirsty for You. My flesh is weak wanting You. And my mouth praises You with lips of joy. On my bed I remember You. I think of You through the hours of the night. For You have been my help. And I sing for joy in the shadow of Your wings; My soul holds on to You. Your right hand holds me up.
“If you willingly obey me, the best will be yours”
“May God our heavenly Father comfort your hearts”
